Lightspeed Everest
29.3.2009 von Synve.
We want to share this very nice e-mail we got from May`s family! We are so proud of them!!
Today we had breeding evaluation and overall body exam with May. The result is:
Body, teeth, shape, tail, legs … etc + behavour.: EXCELLENT
Breeding class: “A”
May was the most beautiful dog on evaluation and scored highest possible points, therefore he is very recomendable for further breeding. We are so proud !!!
HD, ED and OCD exams were very much appreciated as well as Optigen. May’s data will be published on http://www.britanci.com/ that is Slovenian club for British Sheepdogs. I will let you know when it will be.
That is all for now, because May is calling to play with him - well, he very much deserves it !
Best regards from
very proud familly.

Different styles of Obedience!
29.3.2009 von Synve.
So which is YOUR favorite style:
1.) Canine Freestyle: Tina Humphrey Crufts 2009: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=it97B7tbhzg
Funny circus routines using Obedience moves and individual tricks set to music
2.) Heelwork to music: Mary Ray Crufts 2009: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4d-og0lKeso
With a little more focus on heelwork instead of tricks and stunts
3.) British style Obedience at Crufts 2008: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKKVngqtoMg
Hand held close to body, dog works so close to the leg that you can`t see the light between the dog and the leg of his handler, high action of dog`s front paws is desirable
4.) Continental style (Italian) Obedience 2006: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcxAA5_xjh4
Handler`s hands must swing “naturally” beside body, directional sendaways and retrieve
5.) German Schutzhund Obedience 2004: maximum energy, less focus on exactness:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-hRhnlmKRw
6.) Historical 1933 Dutch police dog, no exact heelwork at all, only what is needed for getting the work done

P.S.: I hasten to add that I own no rights to any of those You-Tube-clips. I`m just guessing that whoever put them on You-Tube won`t mind my spreading them. If you look at the films you will find the copyright owners, who have all the credit. In case anyone of the owners minds my posting their clip in my blog, please don`t hesitate to contact me and I`ll take it off immediately!
